This is the ultimate Swiss Ball in our eyes. We call it the Balance Ball.

There are many different sizes and qualities of Swiss Balls out there, which makes it difficult to make the right choice.

We found it difficult to recommend a single ball to our DRT participants, because a certain quality of ball was not available in all countries. So we decided to create our own that had the qualities we were looking for…

 

Strong & Durable

Most Swiss Balls on the market are very thin and light. They are squishy and soft when inflated, which makes them too unpredictable and dangerous when trying to perform specific exercises on them.

We wanted a ball that was stiff and strong when you knelt on it with the full weight of your body. The DRT Balance Ball weighs 1.2kg (2.6lbs), which is over 2x the weight and strength of many Swiss Balls out there.

This does make the DRT Balance Ball more expensive, but it will last you a very, very long time.

 

Non-Slip Material

Balls that are very smooth are difficult to grip when using for exercise movements. Especially if you get some sweat on it! There is nothing more frustrating than trying to do an exercise and the ball is slipping away all the time, not giving you a chance to do the movement.

The DRT Balance Ball material has a texture to it that provides some grip. It allows your hands, knees or feet to gain purchase on the ball which makes doing the specific exercises easier.

This is an important feature you should look for in a ball.

 

Pump Included for easy inflation

The DRT Balance Ball will get delivered to your door. A foot pump is included so you can inflate the ball immediately. This is especially valuable for those who live rurally and going into town to your local gas station to use the air compressor may be an inconvenience.

    I love this ball! It is made from heavy duty material that does not squish down. The lines on it give my legs something to keep them from slipping. Because it is sturdy, I find that I can do the exercises so much better. My old ball went in the trash!

    Again the quality is good, the only concern is about the price as it goes 30% up if you have to pay Customs, mandatory, “delivery service“ (i.e. In Spain, delivery service is provided by the Postal office and it charges by surprise 20€) then the price of the fit ball is higher and competes with the top of the range fit ball brands, locally.
